Another artist we chose was Jess Glynne. We consider her underappreciated because she has less than 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Jess Glynne is mostly famous for featuring on the song "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit. She is also famous for her song "Hold My Hand."
I, Elaine, decided to write and research about her because my sister listens to her and I saw that she didn't have a lot of listeners.
Glynne has released one album called I Cry When I Laugh and she has released many singles from that album.

KEHLANI

An artist we chose was Kehlani, who was born Kehlani Parrish. Her music genre is Pop/ R&B. She's underappreciated because she has less than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Kehlani is from Oakland, California and she mentions her pride for her hometown in a lot of her songs. She attended Oakland School of the Arts where she studied dancing before she started pursuing singing. Her fame rose when she auditioned on America's Got Talent with her former band Poplyfe.
I, Elaine, found out about Kehlani through my relatives because they would always listen to her and talk about her. My sister would also start listening to her so I would hear her music also.
Jaelynn found out about her through the internet and she features on albums of artists that we already know like Zayn.
Kehlani has released her first album called You Should Be Here in 2015 on my, Elaine's, birthday. :-)
She also has many singles that she released.

COMMON KINGS

Our next artist is reggae band Common Kings. I (Jaelynn) first heard about of Common Kings around last year from a few people from school. Once I got to know their music, I started to love both songs Alcoholic and 24/7.
The band consists of Jr King, Taumata Grey, Ivan Kirimaua, and Jerome Taito. All four have grew up will the passion of loving music. Common Kings started out in 2013 with their album IDGAF. They later came up with albums such as Summer Anthems, Your Turn, Kingdom Come, and Hits and Mrs. They have +190k monthly listeners on Spotify and 84.8k followers on Instagram. J BOOG

Our next artist is reggae and R&B soloist J Boog. J Boog has been around since early 2006, but ONLY HAS +300k MONTHLY SPOTIFY LISTENERS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BIG SUPPORTER OF J BOOG, SO OF I COURSE I HAD TO DO HIM.
 J Boog, born as Jerry Afemata, was born in Long Beach, but was raised in Compton Hawaiian based. Around 2007-2008, J Boog released his first album Hear Me Roar, and that was the start of his success. He has also released J Boog- EP (2011) and Backyard Boogie (2011).
J Boog is widely for his hits such as Let's Do It Again, Sunshine Girl, and Waiting On The Rain.
I, Jaelynn, was first introduced to J Boog from my parents surprisingly. My Mom and Dad are really into reggae, so that's when I first knew about his existence.
If you are looking for good reggae music, I 100% SUGGEST J BOOG! As usual, below are a few songs I suggest you should give a listen to.

R5

For our next artists, we chose the rock band R5! If you regularly watch Disney Channel, you would probably already know a little about R5. R5 only has +200k monthly Spotify listeners, so I am excited to talk more about them!
R5 consists of the members Ross Lynch, Rydel Lynch, Riker Lynch, Rocky Lynch, and Ellington Ratliff. If you couldn't already tell, 1/4 of the band are siblings (Ross, Rydel, Riker, and Rocky), and Ellington is a close family friend of the Lynch's. The siblings have always been into acting, singing, and playing instruments, so that kind of started the idea of the band. In mid-2009, the band started out on their Youtube channel and lead to their success.
The band has made a couple of albums such as Louder and Sometime Last Night. Personally, my favorite album is Sometime Last Night, but I still enjoy Louder.

OH WONDER

Another artist we chose was the duo Oh Wonder. We chose Oh Wonder because their music really speaks out to us and also really relaxing. They can be considered an under appreciated artist because they currently have +2m monthly listeners on Spotify.
Oh Wonder is a London-based alternative pop duo. Oh Wonder consists of Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West. The two started the duo back in September 2014. Starting on September 1, 2014, the two would work on writing a song, record, and release a song every month.
My first song I (Jaelynn) heard from them were All We Do, and I INSTANTLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM!
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT! They will change your perspective on EVERYTHING, and they are just beautful musicians. To give you guys a little help, the following are my personal favorite songs and suggested songs to listen to.

TORI KELLY

The next artist we chose is Tori Kelly. We consider her to be underappreciated because she has less than 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. That may seem like a lot, but other artists like Justin Bieber and Drake have more than 20 million monthly listeners.
Tori is mainly famous for her most recent songs that she released in 2015. She is famous for Hollow and Should've Been Us. She is also actually really good friends with Jeremy Passion (who we previously blogged about) and Pentatonix.
Before she was famous, she was part of many talent searching competitions. She was on the show Star Search, she won America's Most Talented Kid in 2004, and she auditioned for American Idol in 2010 but did not reach the top twenty-four (thanks to Simon Cowell). She was born in Wildomar, California and is of Irish, German, Puerto Rican, and Jamaican ancestry.
Tori Kelly has 3 albums. They are Handmade Songs by Tori Kelly, Foreword, and Unbreakable Smile. Her Unbreakable Smile album is the most known which features Ed Sheeran, Daye Jack, and LL Cool J. She also has many singles.

She has many songs that she wrote herself. Her older songs are my favorite. I favor them over her newer songs on her Unbreakable Smile album. These are a few songs that we recommend the most. They aren't all of them but :/
